Point Zero 8 offers a designated driving service which consists in bringing you back home safely with your own car, we are not taxis. Following your call to (514) 953.0008, a team of two drivers will be dispatched to your location within 30 minutes or more depending on how busy we are. At the driver's arrival, the client has 15 minutes to get ready to go. If however, the client is not ready on time he will be advised that the waiting time fee is $1.00 per minute, besides the price of the transport. Every transport is insured by Intact insurance.
The personal card
This membership card is valid for the transports of the member as well as the persons who are in the same vehicle as him. This card cannot be passed on except :
- Exception 1 : The registered member can offer the service to guests leaving the member's home. These guests will only have to pay the fees for driving them back in their own car.
- Exception 2 : For any other departure point which is not a member's home address, it is possible to offer the service to someone else but an extra $15.00 fee will be charged if that person does not want to become a member. Note that the priority in dispatching drivers applies to official members first, the service is not guaranteed to the others.
Calling procedure for a member
When you call 514.953.0008, we will ask you your name, your member's number, the address and the phone number to join you. Following your call, a team of two drivers will be dispatched to your location within 30 minutes or more depending on how busy we are. A more accurate time can be given when calling. At the driver's arrival, the client has 15 minutes to get ready to go. If however, the client is not ready on time he will be advised that the waiting time fee is $1.00 per minute, besides the price of the transport. N.B. Fees will be applied for any unnecessary movements.
There are always fees for the transports
The fee depends on the distance you travel. The amount can be mentioned when calling, by mentioning the starting point and the final destination. Additional fees could apply for any detours or to drop off someone else. N.B. Tips are always greatly appreciated by the drivers. On request, a receipt can be sent to you by mail, fax or Email.
Method of payments for the transports
1st : The fee is payable directly to the drivers by cash.
2nd : For Platinum membership card, credit cards are accepted. N.B. Additional fees of 15% apply.
3rd : Prepaid transports in the form of gift cards are available. No expiration date.
Disposable breathalyzers
The alcohol test is a chemical breath test for a single use. A balloon is inflated and deflated through a tube containing the reactant. The reactant is yellow crystals, which reacts with the alcohol content in the expired air by turning green. Disposable breathalyzers are $4.00 each.
